I loved that lovely peaceful hotel. the property was in a remote setting on the coast. Excellent dishes were served at the in-house restaurant. I had an amazing experience at Cortijo El Sotillo in San Jose. the hotel was wonderfully peaceful, set in a remote coastal location. Additionally, the in-house restaurant served excellent dishes that truly made my stay memorable.

Hotel was modern and quaint, I loved the stay.
The location was unbeatable and nice, walk to great hiking trail that heads north with fantastic views over the sea, and my bed was comfortable. The room was a nice size and had a fantastic view on the surrounding hills...

Impeccably clean quirky accommodation with magnificent location to the "main" area and VERY HELPFUL stuff. A wide range of food in the hotel, in-house restaurant. Really good stay, as always.

The complex is very beautiful, the bungalows are very tastefully furnished. The bathroom is especially well designed. Nice pool area!
In the bathroom it smelled unpleasantly like drain although everything was very clean.

Cortijo El Sotillo is situated on the outskirts of San Jose, in the middle of nature. Quiet rooms with a small fridge and a terrace that cannot be seen from the neighbouring rooms. It was very positive to have a free parking directly in the inner courtyard, which is also sufficient if the hotel is fully occupied. Very nice pool. Great lounge that reminds you of the time when the film "A Fistful of Dollar" was shot there. All we need are the cowboys and the Indians. We would book there again at any time.

The hotel grounds were perfect for children, with a playground and a beautiful garden to explore. The outdoor pool was a big hit with our kids, providing hours of fun and relaxation. We also enjoyed the various outdoor sports and leisure activities available, such as tennis and archery. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, and the reception area and lobby were welcoming and comfortable. the hotel offered a great range of facilities and services for families, ensuring that our stay was enjoyable and memorable.
My children wanted more games and activities in the playroom.

The hotel looks like an Italo-Western. The rooms are all completely separate in individual bungalows. It is rather a bungalow complex, which in itself looks strong in the desert landscape. The hotel is surrounded by prairie and it is extremely quiet and simply beautifully situated. To the city on foot it takes perhaps 5 minutes, to the natural beaches with the car also around 5-10 minutes, depending on to which one you are heading. I can recommend the hotel and would book it again.

The former movie set from "A Handful of Dollars". Very nice complex a little outside of San José - small but nice... Quiet, nice and attentive staff, very restful.
The hotel itself is very well maintained and clean, but the extensive outdoor facilities require a little more attention and care.

Beautiful place with great ambience - had tasty 3-course menu (choice of 5 dishes each) with a drink for 18 euros, tasted excellent.

A distinctive Hotel with a natural charm.
Good sized rooms excellent showers, good restaurant.
No rooms tea or Coffee facilities. The chalet type room arrangement caught us out in a thunderstorm when going for breakfast. Food cooked in the kitchen was excellent, the BBQ we tried not so good.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
